It is our great pleasure to announce the 1st Research Conference on AMR/AMU in Food Animals in the Asia-Pacific Region (AMRU-Asia Pacific) to be held on 6-8 February 2023. AMRU-Asia Pacific 2023 is our first research conference that will be a platform for bringing together stakeholders from industry, academia, and government as well as other interested parties all over the world in the same virtual conference for research on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and antimicrobial use (AMU) in Asian and Pacific food animal production.
The AMRU–Asia-Pacific 2023 will be virtually held allowing global participation of AMR/AMU researchers and experts. It focuses on research projects/studies on AMR and AMU for food animal production conducted in Asia and the Pacific. The scientific program was designed to focus on key subject interests presented by high-quality keynote and guest speakers covering the following three areas:
Three topics will be addressed in depth through scientific lectures, expert panel discussions, and electronic poster presentations.
The AMRU–Asia-Pacific 2023 is jointly organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and Chulalongkorn University (CU), specifically the FAO Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific, and the FAO Reference Centre for AMR, CU Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
